Fire burns large home in Fort Worth’s Crestline neighborhood, officials say

Nobody was inside the home during the fire, officials on the scene said.

FORT WORTH, Texas — A fire burned a large home in Fort Worth’s affluent Crestline neighborhood overnight, officials said.

The Fort Worth Fire Department responded to the fire around 1 a.m. in the 4600 block of Crestline Drive near the River Crest Country Club, officials said. When crews arrived, they saw heavy fire coming from the home’s second story, Craig Trojack, a spokesperson for the Fort Worth Fire Department, said.

The home is about 6,000 square feet, which made fighting the fire more difficult, Trojack said. The home partially collapsed due to the fire, officials said.

The home was reportedly under renovation and no one was inside at the time of the fire, Trojack said. Still, firefighters conducted a primary and secondary search of the home to ensure no one was inside, he added.

The fire was brought under control 38 minutes after crews responded to the scene, Trojack said. Nobody was injured, he said.
