SAN ANTONIO – UPDATE 4/18/25 at 11 am.: On Friday, Judson ISD told KSAT that assistant coach Christopher Irving is no longer employed with the district.
Irving was immediately placed on administrative leave when concerns were raised to campus administration, according to Judson ISD.
“At that time, a report was made to the appropriate authorities regarding the alleged misconduct pursuant to requirements outlined in state law,” a statement from the district read, in part.
Irving voluntarily resigned shortly after being placed on leave, the district said.
“This is an active investigation that is being handled jointly by federal, state and local law enforcement entities as well as our Judson ISD Police Department. We cannot comment about ongoing investigations,” the statement concluded.

A Judson Independent School District assistant coach was arrested on Thursday for luring students to send explicit images and messages, according to San Antonio police.
Christopher Irving, 41, was taken into custody without incident in the Live Oak area by SAPD, the FBI and the U.S. Marshals Service, police said.
Irving is an assistant football coach at Veterans Memorial High School, according to the school’s athletics website.
SAPD Public Information Officer Ricardo Guzman told KSAT that there was an incident involving Irving around a year ago.
In March 2024, students informed school staff about Irving’s behavior.
The Judson ISD Police Department contacted the FBI San Antonio about Irving, according to SAPD.
FBI San Antonio teamed up with SAPD’s Special Victims Unit detectives to create the “Child Exploitation Human Trafficking Task Force” to further investigate Irving, Guzman said.
Investigators discovered that Irving contacted students on social media and enticed them to send explicit images and text messages in return for gifts, SAPD said.
Guzman stated that there were two confirmed victims — both under 18 years old — who were students at the school.
Police said Irving was charged with sexual performance, a second-degree felony, and two counts of child grooming, a third-degree felony.
It’s unknown whether Irving is still employed with Judson ISD.
