DALLAS — Quinn Ewers, former Southlake Carroll star and Texas Longhorns quarterback, announced Wednesday he has declared to enter the 2025 NFL Draft.
Ewers’ decision to leave Texas and go to the NFL came on the deadline day to make the decision. Ewers joins a lengthy list of his Longhorns teammates attempting to play football on Sundays .
The former Southlake Carroll Dragon told Thamel in a sit-down interview – which aired before the Texas-Ohio State game – he did not expect to be playing college football next season.
Ewers started at Texas for three seasons, leading the Longhorns to the CFP Semifinal round twice, a Big 12 Championship in 2023 and a SEC Championship appearance in 2024.
