Fort Worth proclaims April 12 as ‘FC Bayern Munich Day’

 

Fort Worth Mayor Mattie Parker declared April 12, 2025 “FC Bayern Munich Day” in honor of the Fort Worth chapter of the Official FC Bayern Munich Fan Club of Texas.

FORT WORTH, Texas — Fort Worth Mayor Mattie Parker signed a declaration to make April 12, 2025 “FC Bayern Munich Day,” honoring the Fort Worth chapter of the Official FC Bayern Munich Fan Club of Texas.

FC Bayern Munich will take on its biggest rival, Borussia Dortmund, on April 12, and the local fan club will host a watch party at Little Woodrow’s in Fort Worth for the game.

FC Bayern Munch is celebrating 125 years since being founded and has 382,000 registered members in its fan clubs worldwide, according to Parker’s declaration. The Official FC Bayern Munch Fan Club of Texas is one of the largest FC Bayern fan clubs in North America, the declaration says.

“In recognition of FC Bayern Munich’s 125 years of success and FCBTX’s 11 years of fostering camaraderie and a shared passion for the club’s rich history and tradition, the City of Fort Worth is honored to present this proclamation to the Official FC Bayern Munich Fan Club of Texas, and FC Bayern Munich, and wish for their continued success in Fort Worth and beyond,” the declaration read.

FC Bayern Munich leads the Bundesliga standings with 51 points in the 2024-25 season (16 wins, three draws, and one loss).
