Foxtrot reopening first Dallas location

The upscale grocer and cafe had previously abruptly closed all their stores last year.

DALLAS — Foxtrot Market has announced when it will reopen its first North Texas location after the specialty grocer and cafe abruptly shuttered all its stores last spring and filed for bankruptcy,

Foxtrot’s Knox District location at 3131 Knox Street will reopen on Jan. 17 “with an expanded coffee experience and reimagined food offering that will span all stores,” according to a press release. The new menu will feature all-day panini sandwiches, salads and bowls for lunch and new breakfast taco flavors including borracho bean, brisket guisado, and grilled veggie tacos. The company says they’ll also bring back their popular gummies and gummy mixes.

Foxtrot announced last month that it intended to reopen its Knox Street and Snider Plaza (6565 Hillcrest Ave.) locations in January. The company says the Snider Plaza location will also reopen in the coming weeks.

“Our newly reopened location is a reflection of Foxtrot’s commitment to the Dallas community. We’ve partnered with exceptional purveyors, bringing the finest ingredients to our refresh stores, where customers can gather, enjoy outstanding coffee, delicious food, and create meaningful connections every day,” said Foxtrot co-founder Taylor Bloom.

Foxtrot previously had four Dallas locations — in Uptown, Knox-Henderson, Greenville Avenue and Snider Plaza, near SMU — before the company abruptly closed all its stores — affecting 33 Foxtrot markets and two of the company’s Dom’s Kitchen & Market locations, nationwide last April.

About three weeks after all Foxtrot Market locations suddenly closed, the parent company of the specialty grocer and café filed for bankruptcy, court records showed.

Foxtrot, which is based in Chicago, has since started the process of reopening stores and has reopened some locations in Chicago.
