A Tennessee Dillard’s employee has captivated millions on TikTok with his festive Christmas decor tours and Southern charm.
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — A Tennessee Dillard’s employee is gaining national attention after his Christmas décor tour went viral on TikTok.
Cody McNabb, the home department manager at Dillard’s in West Town Mall, has become known online for his over-the-top holiday spirit and detailed walkthroughs of the store’s Christmas displays. One of his recent videos showing the decorated second floor has now reached more than 4 million views.
“It was like 4.3 million views, and now I’m at 95,000 followers,” McNabb said. “I’m like, oh my goodness… I’m an influencer now.”
McNabb’s love of decorating doesn’t end at work. His 900-square-foot Knoxville apartment is filled with seven Christmas trees, one in almost every room.
“I don’t think I can add any more after this year,” he said. “It’s really full.”
His coworker and best friend, Ainsley Osborne, films many of the viral videos. She said viewers fell in love with McNabb because he’s authentic both on camera and off.
“With social media nowadays we put on a front,” Osborne said. “Cody is always his best foot forward. That is him through and through.”
The pair hope the viral spotlight encourages more people to shop in person this holiday season and experience the store’s displays firsthand.
“It’s not the same as being in a store,” McNabb said. “We want you to come to us, tell us you’ve had a really bad day. We want to pour into you and make you feel better.” Osborne said.
Because for Cody, spreading holiday cheer isn’t seasonal.
