A storm brought snow across Southeast Texas and into Louisiana on Tuesday morning.
GALVESTON, Texas — You may not recognize these pictures, but no, they’re not Photoshopped.
Parts of Texas and into Louisiana woke up to a rare treat Tuesday morning: Snow.
A rare snow storm blanketed the Houston area and across Southeast Texas, and this included areas along the Texas Coast, like the beach in Galveston. The same system also brought snow into Louisiana, leaving cities like New Orleans with a coating of snow as well.
Most of the Houston area was under a Winter Storm Warning, and parts of Louisiana were under a Blizzard Warning.
So yes, a sight that hasn’t been seen often was seen Tuesday morning, as everywhere from beaches to Bourbon Street were covered in snow.
Here’s a look at some popular Texas and Louisiana locations that saw a rare snowfall:
Galveston Beach
Texas A&M – Kyle Field
New Orleans – Bourbon Street
Houston
San Antonio – The Alamo and Riverwalk
