Governor Abbott Appoints Sanders To Trinity River Authority Board Of Directors

Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Kathy Sanders to the Trinity River Authority Board of Directors for a term set to expire on March 15, 2025.

Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Kathy Sanders to the Trinity River Authority Board of Directors for a term set to expire on March 15, 2025. The board is charged to effectuate flood control and the conservation and use, for all beneficial purposes, of storm and flood waters in the Trinity River watershed and to promote beneficial use of public waters.

Kathy Sanders of Athens is a retired teacher of 27 years and former owner and manager of two small businesses. She volunteered with Henderson County Food Pantry and Athens Thrift Store.  Sanders received a Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Economics from North Texas State University.
