Texas A&M’s Donovan Green was named to the John Mackey Award Preseason Watch List which is given annually to the most outstanding collegiate tight end.
Green missed all of last season after suffering an ACL injury, but the Dickinson native has big expectations after a promising freshman season in 2022. He started in four games that year averaging 10.6 yards per catch. He totaled 22 catches for 233 yards and a couple of touchdowns.
The John Mackey Preseason Watch List will be narrowed to eight semi-finalists on Oct. 29, while three finalists will be announced on Nov. 26. The 2024 John Mackey Award winner will be announced on the ESPN Home Depot College Football Awards Show held on Dec. 12.
