AUSTIN (KXAN) — Starting Wednesday, Texans will be able to submit their favorite homemade specials to H-E-B’s 11th Annual Quest for the Texas Best for a chance to win up to $25,000 and have their product featured in stores across the state.
The franchise has discovered over 1,000 products through the competition and awarded Texas creators nearly $2.5 million in prize money, according to an H-E-B news release.
“I can’t wait to see what products are brought to the table this year,” said James Harris, Sr., the director of Diversity and Inclusion and Supplier Diversity for H-E-B. “After 11 years of the H-E-B Quest for the Texas Best and more than 6,000 entries, the creativity and ingenuity of Texans still inspires me.”
In preparation for the competition, Texans can meet with H-E-B Sourcing and Supplier Diversity leaders to discuss their submissions, the company’s website said.
A panel of judges selected by H-E-B will review the top applicants and select four winners. The Grand Prize winner will receive $25,000, the first-place winner $20,000, the second-place winner $15,000 and the third-place winner $10,000.
Texans can submit their product through the H-E-B website anytime between Feb. 21 and April 4.
