The 2025 Dallas Open will take place Feb. 1-9.
FRISCO, Texas — Some of the top tennis players will be in North Texas in February to compete in the 2025 Dallas Open.
This year, the Dallas Open is making the upgrade from an Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) 250-level tournament to an ATP 500-level tournament, awarding over $2.8 million in prize money. Formerly the New York Open, the tournament is the only ATP Tour indoor championship in the U.S. and is one of the longest-running American tennis tournaments.
Since moving to North Texas in 2022, the Dallas Open has been hosted at SMU’s Styslinger / Altec Tennis Complex but is moving north this year to the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco. The 2025 Dallas Open will run from Feb. 1-9 and will host some top-level talent.
Two of the top American tennis players in the world, Taylor Fritz and Frances Tiafoe, will compete. Fritz is the top-ranked player from the U.S. and finished as runner-up in the 2024 U.S. Open. Meanwhile, Tiafoe is the third-highest-ranked American, sitting at No. 17 globally with a quarterfinal finish at the 2024 U.S. Open.
Fritz and Tiafoe join 2024 Dallas Open Champion Tommy Paul and Casper Ruud as players confirmed to compete in the 2025 Dallas Open.
On top of current competitors, some International Tennis Hall of Fame inductees will be gracing the court. Kim Clijsters and Martina Hingis will play in the Dallas Open’s annual Women’s Tennis Classic, facing off in a three-set singles match on Feb. 1 at 8 p.m. Clijsters is a four-time Grand Slam champion, and Hingis is a five-time Grand Slam champion and a silver Olympic medalist.
Hingis and Clijsters have played nine singles matches against each other with Clijsters winning five. Their most recent head-to-head match was a 2007 Australian Open quarterfinal won by Clijsters in three sets.
