Hang It in the Louvre: Nancy Pelosi Gives Update on How She’s Feeling Post-Trump’s Victory

With Donald Trump’s sweeping electoral victory getting further in the rearview mirror, it’s important to check in on your elders to see how they are doing in this difficult time. CNN’s Manu Raju did just that regarding Nancy Pelosi on Tuesday, asking her how she’s coping with her party’s embarrassing defeat and the return of Trump to the White House, someone she has consistently claimed is a “threat to democracy.”

Her answer was…succinct. Hang it in the Louvre.

Normally, this would be the point where I struggle to write several hundred words based on a three-syllable utterance from a politician. I mean, I’m pretty good at ranting, but “terrible” wouldn’t normally leave me much to work with. In this case, though, there’s plenty of material, and Pelosi feeling “terrible” is just about the most poetic thing I can imagine, given the results of the election.

Let’s not forget that it was the San Francisco liberal who birthed and orchestrated the plot to remove President Joe Biden as the Democratic Party nominee. No doubt, he had no business being in that position, but the primary had already occurred. The voters had cast their votes, and the process was over. Pelosi, ever drunk on power, though, didn’t care. Instead, she pushed a pressure campaign along with former President Barack Obama that forced Biden to step aside and make room for someone they deemed more electable.

They wanted to act like monarchs ruling over the plebs, but things didn’t quite go as planned. Instead, Kamala Harris, who neither Pelosi nor Obama wanted to assume the role, quickly seized the moment, leaving the Democratic Party no choice but to play along. With no “open primary” on the table, a coronation was arranged. Even before the election, Pelosi’s plan had already failed, and we know how the rest turned out.

So if there’s one person who deserves to feel “terrible,” it’s her. On the flip side, I’m assuming that Biden is enjoying every minute of this.

I’ve got an idea for Pelosi. If she’s really feeling that bad, maybe just retire? The woman is 84 years old. She’s been in government for longer than some congressional members have been alive. At this point, her continued grasping for power has become pathological. It’s actually disturbing to witness.

Be a normal human being and ride off into the sunset. Spend some time with your grandkids. Stop wandering around the halls of Congress like a demented old kook mumbling about how terrible things are. There are people all across the country who would love to be able to retire with a $15,000 fridge full of designer ice cream. Pelosi has run her course.
