Heat relief and rain chances coming soon

FORECAST HIGHLIGHTS:
  • 108° at SA Int’l today … hottest day in 11 years
  • Isolated storms until 10pm (mainly Hill Country)
  • Not as hot in the days ahead
FORECAST:

Today was the peak of our heat wave with a gradual downward trend starting tomorrow.

Nevertheless, it’s still going to be hot tomorrow with a high of 104° expected, which would be a record for the day.

We should fall back into the upper 90s for highs this weekend then mid 90s starting Monday, which is average for this time of year.

RAIN:

Isolated showers/non-severe storms will pop-up through 10pm this evening, but mainly in the Hill Country.

Similar conditions will prevail tomorrow with isolated showers between 4pm and 10pm, but Friday through the weekend look dry.

Next week holds some hope for rain as a slow moving upper-level disturbance brings daily chances for pop-up showers.
