Here’s the tea: Texas chain HTeaO to open shop in Leesburg

LEESBURG, Fla. – Texas-based chain HTeaO is set to open its first Lake County location on Saturday, per the brand’s Facebook.

It will be at 914 N. 14th Street in Leesburg.

HTeaO serves more than 25 flavors of iced tea from the classics including sweet, unsweet and green to unique creations such as peach ginger, mango fresco and coconut.

It also serves hot and cold coffees, macchiatos and lattes. There even is a secret menu with different flavors mixes for each month.

There are currently three shops open in the Sunshine State — Tallahassee, Lakeland and Fish Hawk — according to the brand’s website. It’s also building one in Santa Rosa Beach.

Meanwhile, the brand announced last year its plans to open eight locations across Florida. It also has an ambitious plan in place to have 500 locations open by the end of 2026 across the U.S. — there are currently 142.

HTeaO was started in 2009 by Gary and Kim Hutchens selling iced teas in Gary’s burger restaurant, Buns Over Texas. The iced tea was popular enough for Hutchens to add a tea store to his existing eatery.

The duo then began to build more HTeaO locations and started to expand via franchising in 2018, according to the brand’s website.
