Westbound lanes of State Highway 183 are closed at the Industrial Boulevard exit due to police activity as of 6:45p.m. Tuesday, according to a Texas Department of Transportation crash map.
Bedford police said the incident involves a suicidal subject. Traffic cameras appear to show a person sitting on the ledge of a ramp with several police cruisers parked together, blocking the ramp.
Another picture shows cars being directed off the highway as a police cruiser sits in the middle of the highway.
The shutdown is the second time Highway 183 has been closed in Bedford in the last few days. A police standoff caused it to be closed for several hours Sunday.
