Twice-failed candidate for president Hillary Clinton is back in the news again because apparently, we haven’t heard enough from the same woman who for the last six years has proclaimed without evidence that former President Donald Trump “stole” the 2016 presidential election from her.
In fact, that very “issue” was brought up during a recent fawning interview Clinton did with CBS Evening News anchor Norah O’Donnell, where the main topic of discussion was Hillary and Chelsea Clinton’s upcoming Apple TV+ docuseries, “Gutsy.”
During one segment, Clinton told O’Donnell in response to a leading question about the “J6 Committee” and “Donald Trump’s actions” that she believed Trump led a “seditious conspiracy” against “the government of the United States,” and boasted about how she allegedly spent her time as secretary of state under the Obama-Biden administration “encouraging” people to “have a real democracy.”
“One of the hallmarks of a real democracy,” Clinton stated, “is the peaceful transfer of power.”
It was then that Clinton’s 2016 election denialism crept in, as she claimed she actually “beat” Donald Trump in the popular vote count but lost the Electoral College. Even though she was defeated, Clinton said she didn’t even think for a “nanosecond” about “claiming victory” and “trying to get the Democrats to refuse to certify the election.”
Watch:
The problem here, of course, is that chronic liar Hillary Clinton conveniently left a few things out, which The Federalist’s Molly Hemingway explained:
Further, even though Clinton did technically concede, that hardly meant she accepted the results of the election as Hemingway noted above and later statements by Clinton demonstrated:
In addition to that, in the summer of 2020, Hillary Clinton went on record as stating in no uncertain terms that “Joe Biden should not concede under any circumstances,” no matter how long a legal case could potentially drag out:
“Joe Biden should not concede under any circumstances, because I think this is going to drag out, and eventually I do believe he will win if we don’t give an inch, and if we are as focused and relentless as the other side is,” Clinton said in an interview with her former communications director Jennifer Palmieri for Showtime’s “The Circus,” which released a clip Tuesday.
The fact of the matter here is that Hillary Clinton, Stacey Abrams, and pretty much any Democrat who believes both the 2000 and 2016 presidential elections were stolen and the 2018 Georgia gubernatorial election was “rigged” are absolutely the modern-day originators of the so-called “Big Lie,” an inconvenient truth the mainstream media continues to ignore because Orange Man Bad and all that.
The real story about the 2016 election, as I’ve noted before, is that the election interference was the other way around. Trump won the election in spite of the Clinton presidential campaign’s coordinated attempts with the out-going Obama-Biden administration to undermine not only his campaign but then his presidency once he was in the Oval Office.
After that was four years of incessant blatherings from Clinton and others about a “stolen” election, with Democrats in the House and Senate routinely abusing their power by trying to “legitimately” overturn the 2016 election by trying to impeach and remove President Trump multiple times using trumped-up charges to do so. The media lovingly went along with these campaigns by way of amplifying the charges and trying to add to them with one fake news report after another.
Simply put, the receipts don’t lie. If Hillary Clinton and her fellow Democrats want to warn about “seditious conspiracies” and “undermining democracy,” they might want to keep some mirrors handy, because the pot is definitely calling the kettle black here, and if they’re so gung-ho about not wanting election results questioned at such a high level then maybe they shouldn’t have done everything they could to undermine legitimate ones themselves for now-six years straight.
