I won’t deny it, it’s been hot–really hot– this week in my neck of the woods and over large parts of America. Of course, it’s been really hot many times in the 30 years I’ve lived here in California, but let’s ignore that.
Twice-failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton knows who’s to blame, and it’s not the sun, or the weather, or a naturally occurring heat wave caused by God, the Universe, Gaia, randomness, or whatever you think produces such phenomena.
No, silly–a heat wave in July, smack in the middle of summer, could only be caused by… MAGA Republicans. But of course.
You see, if only you’d pulled the lever for Hills in 2016 instead of for Donald Trump, you’d be enjoying a cool 70-degree breeze right now. “Hot enough for you?” she wrote. “Thank a MAGA Republican. Or better yet, vote them out of office.”
(If you’re wondering why I wrote in the headline that Hillary thinks “It’s you” who is to blame for the heat wave, it’s because it doesn’t matter if you are a MAGA/Donald Trump supporter or not. Implicit in her statement is that all conservatives and Republicans are guilty, and if you’re perusing this site, you probably fit one of those definitions.)
The obvious thing that she’s missing, however, is that we had eight years of Obama, and then after an all-too-short hiatus during the Trump years, Democrats held the White House, the Senate, and the House for two straight years under Biden. Even after the GOP took back the House in 2022, Dems were able to pass the bloated “Inflation Reduction Act,” which, in addition to throwing billions at every liberal green energy fantasy imaginable, did nothing to slow inflation (in fact, it most likely increased it).
And yet, here we are, and it’s July, and it’s hot. I’m guessing it must have also been hot in July 1980, or Stevie Wonder wouldn’t have had one of his biggest hits ever:
Apparently, the former First Lady and Secretary of State has never heard of the Medieval Warm Period (900 A.D. to 1300 A.D.), where temperatures were actually higher than they are now. I’m pretty sure there were no MAGA Republicans around at the time to heat things up.

Naturally, Hillary Rodham Clinton was roasted for her silly comments; check out all the memes and withering commentary here. Conservative activist Scott Presler, who has written for RedState on numerous occasions, reminded us that in 2016 HRC herself likely emitted more CO2 than you or I could do in a lifetime:
Somewhere, Greta Thunberg is crying.
While Joe Biden admittedly surprised me and other observers with how he’s transformed from a seemingly harmless buffoonish centrist into one of the most radical and divisive presidents in our nation’s history, I still think we dodged a bullet when Hillary lost to Trump in 2016. At least we got four (imperfect) years of Donald between climate zealots Obama and Biden. My guess is Clinton would have followed a similar trajectory as Joe’s–namely, that she would have become even more radicalized when she took office. She was unlucky to say the quiet part out loud with her “basket of deplorables” comments, and just enough voters evidently noticed.
There’s no denying that heat waves can cause suffering and that there will even be deaths associated with the current one (although, as RedState‘s Ward Clark points out, it’s actually cold that’s much more deadly to humans).
But Clinton’s blaming weather events on a political party once again reminds us of what a spiteful, unlikeable person she is and why she lost two presidential elections despite feeling it was her birthright. I personally am not convinced that she’s given up on her ambitions, and while many think California Governor Gavin Newsom is positioning himself for a run should Biden falter–I wouldn’t count out Hillary just yet either. She’s waiting in the wings.
Unfortunately, Biden, Hillary, and Newsom are all equally awful and intent on dividing Americans. If any one of that Toxic Trio takes the oath as Commander in Chief in January 2025, the nation will continue its ominous decline.
We can’t let that happen.
