A historic fire station in Fort Worth is getting a chance at another life.

Fire Station No. 5 at 503 Bryan Ave. in Cowtown’s Magnolia District will anchor the new $26.5 million Nobleman Hotel, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported.

The Nobleman Hotel, and its signature restaurant Duchess, are expected to open in 2025 — with Fire Station No. 5 as the centerpiece.

Duchess will feature a new American menu with Texas influence. Curated by Casey Thompson, a North Texas hospitality executive and “Top Chef” contestant, the menu will offer steaks, seafood and pasta along with a beverage menu.

The Star-Telegram reported the design of the restaurant will preserve the fire station’s interior like old firefighter pulley systems and metal accents. Duchess will feature a 56-seat dining room and bar.

The fire station was built in 1910 by architects Sanguinet & Staats, which handled design for almost every tall building constructed in Fort Worth before 1930, according to the Texas State Historical Association.

The Nobleman Hotel is part of the Hilton Tapestry Collection and will boast 121 guest rooms and 32 suites, which will wrap around the fire station. Since the city sold it more than 40 years ago, the Fire Station No. 5 space has been a Higginbotham office building and the Black Eyed Vodka distillery.
