FORECAST DETAILS:
Hope you’ve had a great weekend!
After last week’s summer-scorcher, welcomed changes arrive this last week of August.
High pressure moves north in the days ahead, leaving enough room for an area of low pressure to move into South Texas.
This will be enough to spark up spotty, hit-or-miss rain chances Monday and Tuesday, followed by isolated rain chances for the second half of the week.
It won’t be for everyone each afternoon, but pockets of heavy rain and perhaps some lightning and thunder will be possible. If you do manage to tap into some of this activity over the next few days, you can expect a quick 0.25″ – 1″ by the time all is said and done, with the potential for localized higher totals. Wouldn’t hurt to keep the umbrella handy!
An added bonus: temperatures will stay below 100° this week, with highs in the low-to-mid 90s in San Antonio. Much better than the extreme heat we were dealing with last week.
More updates to come in the days ahead. Until then — have a great week! ~ Mia
