Human remains found in duffel bag on property in southwest Bexar County, sheriff says

SAN ANTONIO – Human remains were found inside a duffel bag by people feeding animals on a property in southwest Bexar County, according to Sheriff Javier Salazar.

Shortly before 11 a.m. on Thursday, BCSO received a call for a suspicious package in a field.

Investigators are unsure if the remains are those of a man or woman, or how long the body was in the field.

Salazar said BCSO was applying for a search warrant to finish processing the scene.

The sheriff said the property owners are out of town but are cooperating with the investigation.
