DFW Restaurant Week 2024 runs from Aug. 5 through Sept. 1 at over 100 restaurants across North Texas. The event benefits local eateries and charities!
DALLAS — DFW Restaurant Week 2024 kicked off Monday, and although its name implies the event only lasts one week, it really lasts all month long.
Over 100 North Texas restaurants participate, offering special brunch, lunch, and dinner specials at fixed prices.
This is DFW Restaurant Week’s 27th year in operation, making it the second longest-running restaurant week in the U.S. Over that time, the event has raised nearly $12 million for local charity partners.
Here’s all you need to know about DFW Restaurant Week 2024.
When is DFW Restaurant Week 2024?
DFW Restaurant Week 2024 runs from Aug. 5 – Aug. 11. However, most participating restaurants extend the event through Sept. 1, making it a month-long event!
How does DFW Restaurant Week work?
Participating restaurants offer meals at fixed prices, though each restaurant gets to choose which meals it offers.
There are four types of dining experiences to choose from:
- Dinner – Three courses for either $49 ($10 donated) or $59 ($12 donated)
- Signature Experience Dinner – $99 ($20 donated) – Exclusive VIP experience created by select restaurants. Features may include signature cocktails, a chef’s table or additional courses crafted for an especially memorable meal
- Lunch – Two courses for $29 ($6 donated) at many restaurants
- Weekend Brunch – Two courses for $29 ($6 donated) at select restaurants
Not all restaurants will offer each of the dining experiences above. A full list of participating restaurants and their offerings can be found here.
Who does DFW Restaurant Week benefit?
During DFW Restaurant Week, around 20% of the bill will be donated to one of two charity partners, depending on where you are.
If you’re dining in the Dallas area, it will go to North Texas Food Bank. If you’re dining in the Tarrant area, it will go to Lena Pope, a nonprofit focused on child well-being in Tarrant County.
Of course, dining out also benefits local restaurants in North Texas.
Do I need a reservation?
The need for a reservation varies by participating restaurant. Reservations can be made through OpenTable on the DFW Restaurant Week website or by contacting the restaurant directly. Just be sure to specify that the reservation is for DFW Restaurant Week when booking and request the DFW Restaurant Week menu when you arrive.
