SAN ANTONIO – Josh Primo has been released by the San Antonio Spurs, the team announced Friday evening.
“It is our hope that, in the long run, this decision will serve the best interest of both the organization and Joshua,” said Spurs Sports & Entertainment CEO RC Buford, in a statement.
Primo, a 19-year-old small forward, shooting guard with the Spurs, was the team’s first-round draft pick in 2021, at No. 12 overall. according to a previous KSAT report.
Last month, Primo was set to miss the start of the preseason due to a left MCL sprain. However, he was expected to return for the start of the regular season.
