EDINBURG, Texas — The Museum of South Texas History welcomes Sergio Chapa to present “Frontera: From the Gulf of Mexico and the Rio Grande Valley to the Pacific Ocean and Tijuana” during the Sunday Speaker Series at 2 p.m. Aug. 25. 

This presentation will share behind-the-scenes look at the making of “Frontera: A Journey Across the US-Mexico Border,” the first book to look at communities along the dividing line between both nations. Copies of the book will be available for purchase at the Museum Store. 

Chapa is an energy industry and freelance journalist based in Houston. Born and raised in Texas, Chapa has covered border issues and energy for two decades as a journalist for various media outlets that include the Valley Morning Star, Brownsville Herald, KGBT-TV and Bloomberg. His book “Frontera: A Journey Along the US-Mexico Border” was published by TCU Press.

Sunday Speaker Series is included in the fee for regular museum admission. FRIENDS of MOSTHistory are admitted free as a benefit of FRIENDship and must present their FRIENDship card at the Admissions Desk.
