Judge Juan Merchan issued a gag order on Donald Trump in March and has fined him multiple times for speaking out about the dubious business records case filed by NY District Attorney Alvin Bragg.

Yet porn person Stormy Daniels and former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen have been free to sing from the hilltops about their disdain for the former president. It’s been patently ridiculous, like putting a bullfighter in the ring and then tying his hands and feet together.
Cohen has been posting to TikTok videos of him trashing Trump and trying to cash in on the trial by selling T-shirts. Remember, this clown is the prosecution’s star witness, and he’s set to take the stand Monday.
Even the biased Judge Merchan has had enough of Cohen’s antics, and on Friday, he ordered Cohen’s lawyers to tell him to pipe down:
Before court proceedings wrapped for the week, Todd Blanche, Trump’s attorney, asked that Cohen be prohibited from talking “in the same way President Trump is” restricted.
“I will direct [the prosecution] to communicate to Mr. Cohen that the judge is asking him to refrain from any more statements about this case,” Merchan said from the bench.
He told prosecutors moments later, “that comes from the bench, and you are communicating that on behalf of the bench.”

Cohen is a truly despicable character, but he’s only one of the lowlifes the prosecution is depending on to convince jurors of their credibility.

Even a CNN analyst can’t quite wrap his head around the fact that this is who they’re using to try to get a former president convicted:
Trump responded to the judge’s attempt to get Cohen to quiet down, but he wasn’t mollified. He came out swinging after court wrapped up for the day and said that what went on was “a disgrace”:
Trump complained that despite the judge’s words, there was still no gag order on Cohen:
“There is no gag order for Michael Cohen. What the judge did was amazing, actually. Everybody can say whatever they want, but I’m not allowed to say anything about anybody. It’s a disgrace,” Trump said after court adjourned for the day.
“What he just did now is a joke. It’s a disgrace,” Trump added.
Trump’s lawyers have repeatedly criticized Cohen’s public attacks on Trump, given that the former president’s ability to respond is limited under the terms of his gag order.

The Stormy Daniels testimony was an exercise in absurdity, and much of her lurid testimony had little or nothing to do with the actual charges at hand. Cohen’s may prove to be even sillier; there’s a high probability that he will make a fool out of himself because that’s what he seems to excel at.
Perhaps he’ll try to sell one of his “Trump in prison” T-shirts from the witness stand.
