LITTLE ELM, Texas — As temperatures drop, the Little Elm Fire Department is advising parents to ensure their children are both warm and safe in car seats. Bulky jackets can interfere with the proper fit of harnesses, posing a safety risk.
The department suggests removing the jacket before securing the child in the car seat. Once the harness is properly fastened, parents can layer a blanket or the jacket over the harness to keep their little ones warm. “Let’s keep our kiddos warm and safe on the road this winter,” stated the Little Elm Fire Department.
