KSAT viewers share photos of ice accumulation across portions of South Central Texas

SAN ANTONIO – Periods of freezing rain Tuesday and into Wednesday morning have created quite the scene across portions of the Hill Country and northern Bexar County due to ice accumulation.

KSAT viewers and readers are sharing their photos of the winter storm, which is also causing power outages. Along with that, some icy road conditions have also been found across the Hill Country, with a few issues also noted on elevated bridges and overpasses on the north side of San Antonio.

Those who live north of Loop 410 will see ice accumulation, while those south of Loop 410 will see mostly light to moderate rainfall, according to KSAT meteorologists.

Heavy ice accumulation on trees may result in tree limbs coming down, and subsequent powerlines falling. Remember to avoid downed powerlines. Click here for a map of power outages in San Antonio.
