LAREDO, Texas — U.S. Border Patrol agents rescued a missing Michigan mother and her baby near the Interstate 35 Checkpoint on July 6, 2024.
Agents encountered the adult female and her baby walking barefoot within a ranch area, according to a statement from the U.S. Border Patrol Laredo Sector. The agents transported the pair to safety and requested medical services. Both the mother and child had been reported missing from Michigan earlier this month.
The mother and child were safely turned over to the Webb County Sheriff’s Office, stated the department.
