LIST: Pumpkin patches, fall festivals opening soon in Central Texas

  

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Cooler temperatures mean pumpkin picking season is upon us.

From pumpkin patches to hayrides to apple cannons, here’s a roundup of fall festivals and pumpkin patches across Central Texas.

Pumpkin Nights

The annual event opens Sept. 19 and lasts through Oct. 31 at Pioneer Farms. Activities include face painting, fire shows, art and food.

Pricing varies by date and age. Tickets can be bought ahead online.

Sweet Berry Farm

The Marble Falls pumpkin patch will open in mid-September and last through mid-November. The patch also includes mazes, hayrides, pumpkin painting, scarecrow stuffing and other activities.

The farm is located at 1801 FM 1980, Marble Falls. Prices range by activity.

Crowe’s Nest Farm Fest

The festival in Manor features a pumpkin patch, hayrides, barrel rides, live music, a snake show, barn animals and more. The festival will open on Saturdays and Sundays through October.

The fall festival is located at 10300 Taylor Lane, Manor.

Elgin Christmas Tree Farm

The Elgin farm’s pumpkin patch will open on weekends in October and feature photo ops, a hay mountain, a maze, a petting zoo and inflatables. Food and drink are also for sale.

The farm is located at 120 Natures Way, Elgin. Entry fees are $10 per person over age two. Attractions are an additional cost.

Indian Springs Ranch

The pumpkin patch in Manchaca includes fall photo-ops, exotic animals, face painting and a food court, among other activities.

Indian Springs Ranch is located at 403 Elm View Way, Manchaca. Tickets are $10 on Thursdays and Fridays and $17 on weekends.

Mama Mary’s Farm

The farm in Creedmoor features hay rides, a zip line, an animal barn, apple cannon guns and, of course, a pumpkin patch. The fall event will open Sept. 28 and runs through Nov. 3.

The pumpkin patch is located at 5701 Williamson Road, Creedmoor. Ticket prices vary by age and date.

Round Rock Pumpkin Festival

The festival will open Sept. 28 at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock. Through Oct. 27, activities include pumpkin painting, bounce house, corn pit, pumpkin bowling, face painting, hayrides and more family-friendly fun.

Admission is $10 for ages 3-64 with free entry for kids under age two, seniors, Austin ISD teachers, Round Rock ISD teachers, first responders and active-duty military. The festival is closed Tuesdays.

SoCo Pumpkin Patch

The pumpkin patch will open Oct. 14 at Christ Lutheran Church in south Austin. It will stay open through Oct. 31 or whenever pumpkins sell out.

The church is located at 212 E. Monroe St., Austin.

Sweet Eats Adventure Farm

The pumpkin patch in Georgetown will run from Sept. 21-Oct. 31. Guests can enjoy a pumpkin patch, corn maze, petting zoo and more fall activities every day.

Sweet Eats Adventure Farm is located at 14400 E. State Highway 29, Georgetown. Tickets can be bought online.

Texas Pumpkin Fest

The festival in Leander will open Oct. 4 through Oct. 31 with pumpkins, rides, a petting zoo, laser tag, axe throwing and more activities.

The Texas Pumpkin Fest is at 8760 FM 2243, Leander. Tickets are $15 on Fridays through Sundays and on Halloween.

Evergreen Farms Pumpkin Hunt

The family-friendly pumpkin festival includes a free wagon ride into the Elgin farm’s Christmas tree fields where pumpkins are hidden. Activities include axe throwing, mazes, a pumpkin launcher and more.

The pumpkin hunt is open the last three weekends in October at 242 Monkey Road, Elgin.

Uhland Fall Fest

Formerly the Dripping Springs Pumpkin Festival, the fest will run from Sept. 28 to Oct. 27 with live music, food and family-friendly activities.

The inaugural festival will be open Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Admission is $15 per person with free admission for children under 3 and seniors. The fest is located at 39 Dairy Road, Uhland.
