SAN ANTONIO – People in San Antonio and surrounding areas woke up to snow and sleet on Tuesday.
After a round of sleet overnight, snowfall kicked in around 1:30 a.m. Accumulations around San Antonio have been less than an inch. Still, there are several icy spots around town, especially on less-traveled roadways.

Due to the weather, several businesses have opted to close their doors or delay openings on Tuesday.

Closures, delays at San Antonio businesses:

BELDON Roofing Company said Monday that it will be closed for business on Tuesday, Jan. 21.

H-E-B has temporarily adjusted hours for stores in Texas. Click here for a list of adjusted hours at San Antonio-area stores.

Kiolbassa Smoked Meats at 1325 South Brazos St. will also be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 21. The store is expected to reopen at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 22.

Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union has released an updated schedule for Tuesday, Jan. 21.

McNay Art Museum grounds will be closed Tuesday, Jan. 21.

San Antonio Botanical Garden will be closed Tuesday, Jan. 21, due to weather conditions. They plan to open at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 22, weather permitting.

San Antonio Museum of Art will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 21.

San Antonio Zoo, Zoo Train, and Starbucks will open with modified hours on Tuesday, Jan. 21. They will be open from noon to 5 p.m.

Closures, delays at medical offices and healthcare services:

Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) mission-essential and mission-critical personnel only should report to work, Tuesday, Jan. 21. BAMC clinics (to include Budge and Rhoades Dental clinics) will be closed. Shift change times and inpatient health care delivery will not change.

CentroMed: All clinics in San Antonio, New Braunfels, Converse, Schertz, Cibolo and Somerset will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 21, the nonprofit said in a news release.

Dilley Allergy & Asthma said it will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 21 and is expected to reopen on Wednesday, Jan. 22.

Methodist Healthcare Ministries San Antonio area locations will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 21. This includes: Wesley Health & Wellness Center; Dixon Health & Wellness Center; George Ricks School Based Health Center at Schertz Elementary, San Antonio Wesley Nurse sites and the Corporate Office. Patients with existing appointments for Tuesday will be rescheduled.

South Texas Blood & Tissue centers will reopen at 1 p.m. Tuesday and will remain open until 5 p.m.

University Health revised the hours at its community clinics before winter weather is expected to arrive, according to a Monday news release. All ExpressMed clinics will reopen at noon on Tuesday. Community clinics will open at noon on Tuesday. Patients who have appointments will be asked to change to telemedicine or to reschedule. Outpatient rehabilitation centers will also reopen at noon on Tuesday. Outpatient dialysis centers will open at 7 a.m. on Tuesday. All services at University Hospital, services at University Women’s & Children’s Hospital, University Hospital procedures, ambulatory surgery centers — including radiology — and pharmacies will continue as scheduled and be open for normal operating hours.

Bexar County Courthouse and its facilities were closed on Tuesday, Jan. 21. The county said it will reopen facilities and resume normal operations on Wednesday, Jan. 22.
