LIST: Texas Longhorns invited to the NFL scouting combine

AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Texas Longhorns broke their record for invitations to the NFL’s scouting combine for the second consecutive season.

After 11 Longhorns were invited last year, 14 received calls this year. The combine is set for Feb. 24-March 3 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

Ohio State had 15 players invited as the most, followed by Texas and Georgia.

The Longhorns invited to the combine are:

  • Kelvin Banks, Jr., OL
  • Jahdae Barron, DB
  • Jaydon Blue, RB
  • Isaiah Bond, WR
  • Vernon Broughton, DL
  • Alfred Collins, DL
  • Hayden Conner, OL
  • Quinn Ewers, QB
  • Matthew Golden, WR
  • Gunnar Helm, TE
  • Jake Majors, OL
  • Andrew Mukuba, DB
  • Barryn Sorrell, EDGE
  • Cameron Williams, OL

Last season, 11 Longhorns were drafted in the first six rounds, the most of any program in the 7-round draft era.

Just about every mock draft from a reputable outlet has Banks as a first-round draft pick, and some have him in the top 10. Some have Barron and Golden as a first-rounder, as well.

The combine will be broadcast on the NFL Network with live coverage beginning Feb. 27.
