AUSTIN (KXAN) — County offices, as well as some service providers, are announcing closures and changes to their schedules on Monday and Tuesday due to wintry weather.
The First Warning Weather team said a winter storm on Monday night into early Tuesday morning is expected to bring a rare snow and wintry mix to Central Texas. A Cold Weather Advisory is in effect from now until noon Wednesday due to dangerous temperatures and wind chills.

Austin Regional Clinic
Austin Regional Clinic said on Tuesday, it will provide morning telemedicine visits only. All clinics will open their doors at noon for in-person and telemedicine visits.
All after-hours clinics will be open Monday and Tuesday nights.
CapMetro services
CapMetro said its services on Monday will end by 9 p.m. Customers are urged to complete their last trips before then.
CapMetro said it will resume limited operations starting at 10 a.m. Tuesday, and the first trips are expected to begin closer to 11 a.m.
CapMetro’s Night Owl service, UT Shuttles and Flyer Express services will be suspended until Tuesday.
CapMetro Rail and Rail Connector Routes 465 and 466 will not operate on Tuesday.
CapMetro’s bike-share service will end Monday by 10 p.m. and resume Tuesday at 10 a.m.
The agency encouraged riders to sign up for CapMetro Alerts to get updates.
CapMetro also said it’s prepared to shift its resources to provide emergency transportation for the community, and it’s already providing transportation to cold-weather shelters.
Anyone who can’t pay the fare and needs to get to a cold-weather shelter will still be given a ride, according to the agency.
Cedar Park
The City of Cedar Park announced due to inclement weather trash and recycling collection will not occur on Tuesday, and will be on a one-day delay. City offices will also be closed all day Tuesday.
Fayette County offices closed Tuesday
The Fayette County Office of Emergency Management said county offices will close Tuesday. They will decide whether to close on Wednesday or not on Tuesday.
The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office said it will remain open 24/7 for the needs of the county.
Georgetown
The City of Georgetown announced on socials, many city facilities will be closed Tuesday due to the chance of wintry precipitation.
Georgetown city parks, recreational facilities, and the municipal court will be closed on Tuesday. The Williamson County offices, Georgetown ISD campuses, and Southwestern University will also be closed all day Tuesday.
H-E-B
H-E-B announced some stores will have altered schedules because of the weather. Here are the details for stores in the KXAN viewing area.
The Fredericksburg, Kyle, Lockhart, Luling and all San Marcos stores will close at 8 p.m. on Monday and open at 10 a.m. on Tuesday.
The Wimberley location will close at 7 p.m. on Monday and open at 10 a.m. on Tuesday.
All other Central Texas area stores will close regular hours on Monday and open at 10 a.m. on Tuesday.
Central Market stores will close at 10 p.m. on Monday and open at 10 a.m. on Tuesday.
Integral Care clinics closed Tuesday
Integral Care said clinics, administrative offices and other non-essential programs will close Tuesday due to wintry weather.
Psychiatric Emergency Services, other crisis services and residential services are continuing normal operations. If someone needs urgent help, call (512) 472-4357.
Meals on Wheels Central Texas
Meals on Wheels Central Texas said it will close and there will be an interruption of meal deliveries on Tuesday.
“For the safety of our staff and volunteers, these closures mean the interruption of home-delivered meals, kitchen operations, and the closure of Congregate Lunch Centers,” according to a release from the organization.
Round Rock
The City of Round Rock said in an X post that all city offices will be closed and trash will be delayed due to inclement weather.
Travis County non-essential offices
Travis County said Judge Andy Brown announced that the county’s non-essential offices, services and facilities will be closed on Tuesday. Essential emergency personnel will still report for duty.
The Travis County Commissioners Court voting session set for Tuesday at 9 a.m. is also canceled.
Travis County Emergency Services Department
The Travis County Emergency Services Department Administrative and Fire Prevention Offices will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 21 due to inclement weather. Fire stations will be staffed and ready to respond when needed.
University of Texas at Austin Office of Emergency Management
The office said it will close on Tuesday due to the weather.
West Lake
The West Lake Hills Police Administrative Offices will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 20 due to anticipated snow and icy conditions.
Williamson County offices closed Tuesday
County offices will close on Tuesday. Residents are urged to stay home and off the roads unless necessary.
Williamson County reminded residents to prepare for freezing temperatures and to register for local emergency alerts online. A list of warming centers is on the Texas Division of Emergency Management website.
