  • In Delaware, the retirement of incumbent Democrat Governor Jim Carney has opened the field up to a three-way race between Lieutenant Gov Bethany Hall-Long, New Castle County Executive Max Meyer, and president of the National Wildlife Federation Collin O’Mara. On the GOP side, Delaware House Minority Leader Mike Ramone is favored to win the primary.
  • Also in Delaware, the race to represent the state’s one and only congressional district in D.C. looks likely to go to Democrat State Senator Sarah McBride. (Current Rep. Lisa Blunt Rochester is vying for Tom Carper’s Senate seat.)
  • In New Hampshire, the governor’s race looks to have Mayor of Manchester Joyce Craig win the Democratic primary to square off against Republican Kelly Ayotte (the favorite to win the GOP primary) in November.
  • In Rhode Island, incumbent Democrat Senator Sheldon Whitehouse is expected to win his primary easily. On the Republican side, Raymond McKay and Patricia Morgan are squaring off.

Polls close at 8:00 p.m. Eastern in Delaware and Rhode Island. In New Hampshire, they close at 7:00 p.m. Eastern but remain open until 8:00 p.m. in the larger metropolitan areas, and no calls will be made before then.
