DFW Airport issued a social media post Wednesday advising travelers to check their flight status in light of the winter storms.

In a statement, Fort Worth-based airline American Airlines said it is monitoring the winter storm and has already begun making schedule adjustments at DFW, WFAA previously reported. The airline also says it has winterized its ground servicing equipment and prepared its teams for inclement weather operations.
“A travel alert has been issued allowing customers whose travel plans may be affected to rebook without change fees,” the statement reads.
Anyone flying on American Airlines can reschedule their flights at aa.com or by calling 800-433-7300.
Dallas-based Southwest Airlines said in a statement travelers can rebook within 14 days of their original travel date, between original city pairs without additional charges.
