Love and Guns: John Kennedy Gives Us Five Simple Steps to Lower Crime In America

America is going through a crisis of rising crime thanks to Democrats flinging open almost every door they can to allow it to happen. Whether it’s a wide-open border, soft on crime policies, or a defunding of police, the left’s obsession with making life easier for criminals is hurting Americans.

Louisiana Senator John Kennedy went on Fox News and gave five simple steps to lower crime here in America. We can definitely not count on Democrats to enact any of it to make us safer, but if America votes these soft-on-crime Democrats out in November we can definitely start implementing Kenndy’s plan which I’ve lovingly dubbed the “Love and Guns” plan.

“If we want to get control of this crime problem that we have, we’re going to have to do a couple of things,” said Kennedy. “Number one, we’re going to have to have more cops. In New Orleans, in my state, [it] needs 2,000 cops on the street — we’ve got less than 1,000.”

“Number two, we’re going to have to pay our cops,” he continued. “You’re not going to get cops to work in this woke environment without paying them. Number three, and this might be the most important: Our political leaders need to stand behind our cops.”

Kennedy’s third point was that politicians need to stand behind law enforcement and not cower before the mob. Police have around 60 million encounters a year and within these high numbers, some encounters are going to go wrong, including those that go wrong due to the law enforcement officer’s wrongdoing. However, these are almost always prosecuted. Despite all of this, politicians seem ready to abandon law enforcement officers at the drop of a hat when things do go wrong, which only creates more crime.

“Number four, we’ve got to get rid of these prosecutors whose mantra is, ‘See no evil, hear no evil, prosecute no evil,” said Kennedy.

“And number five, I would tell people, if you care to, avail yourself of your privileges under the Second Amendment,” added Kennedy. “Now, I’ve said this before, and I mean it. I believe love is the answer. I do. But I also own a handgun, just in case.”

Kennedy’s plan is incredibly common sense if crime is to be severely lessened, but Democrats see things differently. Pennsylvania Senate candidate John Fetterman wants to go so soft on crime that he’d release 1/3 of the state’s inmates from prison, even violent criminals.

Crime is so rampant thanks to Democrats that a recent poll found that the majority of Americans, including independents, believe that America is less safe under Democrat control. Even Democrats were within a margin of error of being tied on the opinion.

Kennedy’s suggestion is simple. Hire more police and support them, get rid of soft-on-crime Democrats in positions of power, and encourage 2nd Amendment rights to be practiced.

Do those things and you’ll watch as America’s crime problem swiftly reduces.
