The Citizenry opens its first stand-alone store in Dallas’ Knox District.
DALLAS — Dallas-based The Citizenry has made its homecoming with a freshly opened location in Dallas’ Knox District.
The luxury home décor brand opened in a 1,500-square-foot space at 4527 McKinney Ave. on March 8. The store, which is situated between Yeti and Apple Knox Street, is the first stand-alone location outside of its flagship in New York City.
“Dallas is more than just another location for us — it’s where our journey began,” Havenly Brands Design Director Heather Goerzen told Dallas Business Journal. “We couldn’t be more excited to bring the world’s best craftsmanship to our hometown.”
The Citizenry co-founders are Texas A&M alumnae Carly Nance and Rachel Bentley, who met as students and began building the home décor e-commerce brand in 2014. After creating a whole home strategy made up of textiles, pillows and throws, rugs, and bedding, the duo decided to open the brand’s flagship in New York City’s Soho neighborhood in 2020.
