SAN ANTONIO – A 29-year-old man is hospitalized after being hit by a vehicle early New Year’s Day on the Southwest Side, according to San Antonio police.
Officers were called to the 100 block of King Avenue, near Somerset Road, around midnight.

SAPD said the driver of a black vehicle traveling east on King Avenue struck the man.
Police said the driver did not stop to render aid and fled the scene.
The victim was transported by ambulance to a local hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
When found, the driver will be charged with collision involving injury, police said.
