SAN ANTONIO – All of the southbound main lanes of I-35’s lower levels near downtown are closed after a man was hit and killed by an 18-wheeler, according to San Antonio police.
The incident was reported just before 4:00 a.m. Wednesday near Laredo Street. Drivers are being diverted to the upper levels.

The closure is expected to be in place for several hours.
The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office could be seen arriving at the scene around 5:00 a.m.
