Man sentenced to more than 28 years in prison for string of armed robberies at Texas pharmacies

  

SAN ANTONIO – A man was sentenced to 28 years and three months in prison for robbing pharmacies at gunpoint, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Texas.

Atseko Factor, 40, was charged with three counts of pharmacy robbery and three counts of brandishing a firearm during and with a crime of violence. He was sentenced to 339 months in federal prison.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office said Factor must also pay $47,000 in restitution.

Court documents show the armed robberies happened between October and December 2020 in Luling, Pleasanton and Seguin.

During the robberies, Factor and Andre Jack, 41, pointed firearms at pharmacy employees, bound them with zip ties, and stole over $43,000 worth of controlled substances, merchandise, cash, and pharmaceuticals, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said.

Both pleaded guilty to the armed robberies.

Jack faces charges of one count of conspiracy to commit pharmacy robbery and four counts of brandishing a firearm during and with a crime of violence. Jack’s sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 16, 2025.
