Man shot, killed in overnight shooting in Dallas, police say

 

Around 12:20 a.m., Dallas police responded to a shooting in the 9200 block of Skillman Street.

DALLAS — A man has died from his injuries after an overnight shooting in Dallas, police said.

Around 12:20 a.m. Saturday, Dallas police officers responded to a shooting in the 9200 block of Skillman Street, DPD said in a news release.

Police said they later found out that the victim had been dropped off at a nearby hospital with a gunshot wound. He died from his injuries, DPD said.

Police identified the victim as 29-year-old Emethius Chiron Hardeman. The motive of the shooting is unclear at this time.

No arrest has been made and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
