Man shot, killed while confronting car burglar, Fort Worth police say

 

A man was shot and killed after he attempted to confront a car burglar, Fort Worth police said.

FORT WORTH, Texas — A man was shot and killed after he attempted to confront a car burglar in a south Fort Worth parking lot, police said. 

Officers responded to a shooting call Jan 1 in the 5700 block of Crowley Road, Fort Worth police said in a press release. Police found a victim in a parking lot with a gunshot wound, the release states. 

The victim died from their injuries, police said. 

Detectives found that the victim possibly confronted a car burglar in the parking lot and was shot during the altercation, the release states. 

The suspect left the scene immediately after the shooting, police said. No arrests have been made, according to the statement.
