Man struck by vehicle, killed on West Side, police say

  

SAN ANTONIO – A 65-year-old man was killed after a driver hit them on the West Side on Thursday, according to San Antonio police.

The crash happened just before 7 p.m. at Guadalupe Street and S Zarzamora Street.

According to police, the man was walking east in a crosswalk on Guadalupe Street when the “do not walk” light sign was flashing. That’s when a driver traveling northbound, who had a green light to go, struck the man.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with San Antonio police’s investigation.

Police said the driver is not expected to face any charges at this time.
