Massive water main break causes road closure in northwest Austin

   

Drivers should avoid the area near Texas Loop 360 and Spicewood Springs Road.

AUSTIN, Texas — A water main break is currently impacting a northwest Austin roadway.

According to Austin Transportation and Public Works, the incident happened just before 10 a.m. Monday near Texas Loop 360 and Spicewood Road.

The leak is actively impacting one meter, and the outage is expected to last until roughly 6:10 p.m., according to the Austin Water Leak and Outage Map .

No boil water notice has been issued for the area despite the water main break. Drivers should expect delays until further notice.
