SAN ANTONIO – With the start of a new year comes new changes, and McDonald’s has already started implementing them, including new closures for 2025.
The fast-food chain announced on Jan. 9 that three of their spinoff restaurants, CosMc’s, would be shutting down this year.

They did not specify which locations would shut down, though they did say they were larger locations in Texas.
The statement said this is to make way for two smaller CosMc’s that will open in the Lone Star State.
CosMc’s has a beverage-led menu, with specialty drinks such as the Sour Energy Burst and the Churro Cold Brew Frappé.
They also have food items such as hashbrowns and McPops. According to their social media, McPops are mini donuts filled with different flavorings like White Chocolate.
Currently, there are three CosMc’s in the San Antonio area. One is located in the 12000 block of FM1957, another in the 8700 block of Potranco Road and the third at 8695 8731 FM1957.
