SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio welcomed its first baby of 2025 at CHRISTUS Children’s Hospital.
Cyd Cyx Barrientes was born at 12:13 a.m. to first-time parents Crystal Cash and Omar Barrientes.
Cyd holds a special place in his family, being the ninth grandson on his mother’s side and the first grandson on his father’s side.
As the first baby born in San Antonio this year, Cyd’s family received several baby items donated by various health care systems in the city, including CHRISTUS Children’s.
The hospital also presented the family with a New Year gift basket filled with baby essentials, such as a baby bathtub with bath items, a New Year onesie, and toys.
