TEXAS (KXAN) — Megabus will no longer be operating in Texas after cancelling routes to four Texas cities, the bus company announced earlier this month.
Megabus discontinued routes operating in Dallas, Austin, San Antonio and Houston as of Aug. 16, the announcement said. All customers with tickets booked beyond that date should’ve been notified, with refunds processed.
Those aren’t the only changes to Megabus’ system operations. The bus company announced Peter Pan Bus Lines would operates routes between New York, Baltimore, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C., beginning Aug. 16.
Fullington Trailways would oversee route operations between New York, State College, Harrisburg, King of Prussia and Pittsburgh under the new changes, while routes running between Atlanta, Charlotte, Durham, Richmond and Washington, D.C. have since been continued.
Other U.S. and Canada-based routes are set to continue as normal, per the announcement. The shake up came after Coach USA — which owns Megabus — announced in June it had filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
More details on Megabus’ remaining route selections are available online.
