The revelation of Millie’s new name comes days after the premiere of the final season of “Stranger Things.”
WASHINGTON — Millie Bobby Brown revealed she has changed her name following her marriage to Jake Bongiovi.
In a joint interview with co-star Noah Schnapp, the “Stranger Things” star explained that she dropped Bobby Brown from her name. While promoting the final season of the Netflix series, Schnapp joked that he is up to date on the 21-year-old actress’s full name, calling her “Millie Bonnie Bobby Brown Bongiovi.”
“Just drop the Brown. Drop the Bobby,” she said to Schnapp during the VT interview. “It’s just Millie Bonnie Bongiovi.”
“Millie Bon Bon,” she added.
It’s unclear whether the “Stranger Things” actress will continue to use her previous name in her professional life.
Millie tied the knot with the son of rock musician Jon Bon Jovi in May 2024. In August, the pair announced they had adopted their first child together.
“This summer we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption,” the couple wrote in a joint post on Aug. 21. “We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy.”
The revelation of Millie’s new name comes days after the premiere of the final season of “Stranger Things.” The first four episodes of the eight-episode season dropped on Nov. 26.
On Christmas Day, the next three episodes will premiere, and the finale will arrive on New Year’s Eve.
Netflix announced that the Season 5 finale, a feature-length, two-hour episode, will debut in select theaters across the U.S. and Canada at the same time it becomes available to stream, marking an unusual theatrical play for the streaming giant. Limited screenings of “Stranger Things 5: The Finale” will begin on Wednesday, Dec. 31, at 5 p.m. Pacific in more than 350 theaters.
Advance movie theater ticket sales for the finale opened on Dec. 2.
