Pure Fire: Gov. Sarah Sanders Hits the Big Issue With the Cheneys, Other ‘Republicans’ Endorsing Harris

“That doesn’t make you a conservative, it certainly doesn’t make you a Republican. I think it makes you somebody who wants to protect the establishment.”

The Final Presidential Debate Memo

Good luck, and May the Force Be With You!

Biggest Traitors to the Conservative Cause – the McCain Family or the Cheney Family?

Perhaps it doesn’t matter. Neither one will ever be relevant on the political stage again. And that’s great news for the country.

WHAT’S ON TAP?

Today on Capitol Hill…

The critters are back, y’all. Though they’re easing into things. Monday only sees one hearing set late in the afternoon — the House Committee on Rules will be convening to go over several H.R.s. Expect things to start gettin’ chippy fairly fast, though, as the shutdown clock is ticking

White House What’s Up

President Joe Biden (remember him?) heads back to the White House from Wilmington, Delaware, on Monday. He’ll deliver remarks regarding the Americans with Disabilities Act and to mark Disability Pride Month from the South Lawn at 5:00 p.m. Eastern.

The Homestretch

Vice President Harris remains holed up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in debate prep mode, though she is leaving Pittsburgh late Monday afternoon to head to Philadelphia. In the meantime, she’s finally put out some policy positions on her website. We’ll have some thoughts on those to share shortly.

Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff will deliver remarks at a campaign event in Raleigh, North Carolina, Monday afternoon. He’ll be joined by Minnesota First Lady Gwen Walz. Minnesota Governor and Harris running mate Tim Walz was set to appear in Reno, Nevada, Monday, but that visit has been postponed due to the Davis Fire.

Full Court Press…

The Nebraska Supreme Court will hear oral argument on Monday over the state’s abortion ballot initiative. At issue is whether the initiative’s language is misleading and/or improperly contains separate subjects.

MORNING MUSING

I know I preach on this topic quite a bit, but I’m going to once again extol the virtues of temporarily unplugging. I managed to do so a bit over the weekend and will be doing so today as I volunteer at the annual charity golf tournament run by a high school classmate. The weather looks to be nice, and I’ll be spending the bulk of my day on a golf course, not checking my phone every five minutes. Of course, it’ll be back to reality on Tuesday with the big debate (which we will, of course, be live blogging). And I fully expect the next eight weeks to be a helluva bumpy ride. So, I’m going to soak up all the sun, fresh air, and serenity I can today. Catch y’all on the flip side…

LIGHTER FARE

Understandably…
