The U.S. may be running low on ammunition, according to our president, but one thing there’s no shortage of under this administration is bombshell news stories — revelations that in days gone by might have spelled impeachment or resignation now just land with a muted thud and litter the media landscape.
Some do manage to smolder and spark a certain amount of scrutiny. Like the now infamous Hunter Biden WhatsApp message appearing to shake down a Chinese businessman. Much has been made of the fact that the message clearly implies Joe Biden’s involvement in his son’s shady business dealings, but I want to take a moment to examine another facet of the message. Hunter says:
I will make certain that between the man sitting next to me and every person he knows and my ability to forever hold a grudge that you will regret not following my direction.
That’s a fascinating talent to include on one’s resume: painter of valuable artwork, snorter of parmesan cheese, schtupper of brother’s widow, abandoner of small children, AND holder of forever grudges.
Was Hunter just thumping his chest here? Or is he indeed a grudge-holder extraordinaire? If the latter is the case, maybe there’s even more reason for his “Pops” to be keeping him close at hand.
