Motorcyclist dies after being struck by car, police say

 

The driver of the car that hit the motorcyclist was arrested and charged with Collision Involving Death.

DALLAS — A motorcyclist died Friday after being crashed into by a car, according to Dallas police.

The Dallas Police Department (DPD) said officers responded at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 20 to an accident call at Irving Boulevard and Wycliff Avenue. Police said their investigation revealed that the victim was riding a motorcycle in a southbound direction on Irving Boulevard and was hit by a car making a left turn onto Sylvan Avenue from Irving Boulevard.

Police said the driver of the car, 21-year-old Jonathan Salazar Garcia, arrested and charged with Collision Involving Death.

The motorcyclist was identified by police as 30-year-old Michael Frantom. He died at the scene, according to police.

Garcia was booked into the Dallas County Jail with a bond of $25,000.
