Nearly $1M of cocaine washes up on Texas beach

  

CAMERON COUNTY, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A package with more than 65 pounds of cocaine washed up on shore at Cameron County Beach Access 3.

At 7:23 a.m. Tuesday, Cameron County Park Rangers were waived down in reference to the package, a news release stated.

The package contained a white powdery substance, which tested positive for cocaine. The cocaine weighed a total of 65.69 pounds, with an estimated street value of $745,000, authorities said.

The case is under investigation in partnership with the U.S. Border Patrol.
